It was so dark…
So dark…
There was nothing but the darkness, deep, black darkness. It was so thick that you couldn't see the nose on your face.
It was so dark.
Something slimy slithered between his legs, thick goo dripped on his arms, and it felt as if a scaly tail had wrapped around his neck, and had begun smothering him.  Claws began to rake his skin, digging into flesh, muscle, and bone.
His soul screamed, his being roared, his entire mind was falling apart. His identity was ripping apart. He for the first time in his in life, he knew true pain.
Beating wings slapped against his ears, shoving air into them, threatening to pop his eardrums, and knock him unconscious.
If only he were that lucky.
Worms burrowed into his living skin, eating their way through his body as his skin healed and sealed shut behind it.
It was so dark.
Flames licked at his legs, burning with a never-ending fury, but they burned black, absorbing all light.
It was so dark.
Screams and laughs, voices of victims and tormentors alike, mocked him. "Yes, this is your punishment, you deserve this."
It was so dark.
Suddenly, he was falling. Falling into the black pit of doom tumbling, head over heels, into the depths.
It was so dark.
More laughs, each pulling him deeper into the darkness, each darker than the last.
Yes, this was his punishment. This was his pain.
This is Hell.
It was so dark.
And the scary thing is, I'm not even close.
Just something I wrote one afternoon.
